Strays Prologue - Years Ago

MAKE BLOODY SURE THAT YOU HAVE READ “FROM KITTENS TO CATS”, “SURE SIGNS”, AND “DANIEL” FOR THIS STORY TO HAVE FULL EFFECT. Scrapbook - IntroductionOne of the challenges on my list is “Introduction”, so, um, yeah, here. Think of it as a recap, character sheets, information that you may have glanced over while reading the stories. Yes, it’s the Irk Splee Christmas Special! I had this planned last year, but stuff kept coming up and I really had no time... now that I have one little free patch I’m taking what I can get! Once a year you celebrate
With stupid hats and plastic plates
The fact that I was able to make
Another trip around the sun

And the whole clan gathers 'round
And gifts and laughter do abound
As you let out a joyful sound
And sing that stupid song

It's my birthday! Now I'm one year older!
It's my birthday! My life still isn't over!
It's my birthday! I did not accomplish much
But I didn't die this year, I guess that's good enough

Let's drink Coke to my fading health
And hope I don't remind myself
My chance of finding fame and wealth
Decreases every year

And it feels like I'm doing laps
And eating food and taking naps
And hoping that someday, perhaps
My life will hold some cheer

It's my birthday! What have I done that matters?
It's my birthday! I'm starting to get fatter!
It's my birthday! It's downhill from now on!
I try not to remind myself my best years are all gone!

If cryogenics were all free

So, ah, presents. The new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, the CD of my choice (to be determined tomorrow), and a hundred bucks.

Oh, and Mr. Goodbar cake.

Funny how my birthday's technically OVER when it's only been as such for 33 minutes, by my clock...
